Ryanair plane suffers substantial damage
Rome’s Ciampino airport has been shut after a Ryanair aircraft experienced difficulties when it’s engine was hit by birds
Passengers evacuated the aircraft using the aircrafts emergency chutes. The plane is currently resting on the tarmac because of the damage to it’s landing gear.
The aircraft was flight FR4102 from Frankfurt to Rome and is being examined by Ryanair engineers and the Italian authorities.
Other Ryanair flights would be routed to Fiumicino, Rome’s other airport until Ciampino airport re-opened.
