British Airways London City – New York flights

British Airways new service from London City to New York will refuel in Shannon and British Airways plan to use this stop to enable passengers to clear customs whilst the re-fuelling takes place.

The route will be operated by one of British Airways A318 aircraft which is the largest aircraft able to use the airport. This means that the aircraft must refuel and Shannon is an ideal airport to do this. The destination of New York has not been confirmed yet however it is widely believed this will be the destination. The return flight will be non-stop into London City Airport.

Having a departure from London City, the airline claims this will enable passengers to leave from their offices and board the aircraft in as little as thirty minutes.
